On 17 July, 2016, Henan Billions Chemicals Co., Ltd. (Henan Billions) announced that it had signed a Cooperation Framework Agreement with Allightec Co., Ltd. (Allightec). The two companies plan to carry out long-term cooperation in the following fields:

"Cooperating with Allightec is in line with our development strategy and is in all our shareholders' interests," said Henan Billions, "In the long run, it will help to boost our business development and enhance our core cooperativeness. In addition, it also brings us the potential for profit growth."

Founded in 2012 and based in Taichung, Taiwan, Allightec has advanced graphene powder mass production techniques. Besides graphene powder, its main products include suspended graphene, graphene film, etc.

The founder of Allightec, Dr. Gong Fei, former vice-president of Everlight Electronics., Ltd., began to develop graphene materials and related application technologies in 2013. So far, he has developed more than 200 kinds of graphene products and has developed over 50 application technologies, totally deserving the befitting title of "Father of Worldwide Graphene Application".

According to CCM, cooperation between Henan Billions and Allightec will be conducive to Henan Billions' R&D in diversified and high-end TiO2 products, which will improve the company's market shares and brand influence. Currently, Henan Billions' main products are TiO2 applied in fields of coatings and plastics.

At present, the graphene industry is not yet mature and the entry threshold for the graphene industry is relative low in China. Entering the industry at this point of time, Henan Billions is expected to reap high profits from the industry following the industrialisation of its graphene business in the future.

Graphene, an important new material which has uses in smart phones, new displays, lithium ion batteries and solar power system, is believed to have bright prospects in the electronic and information industry.

According to the 2015 Report on the Global Graphene Industry released by the China Innovation Alliance of the Graphene Industry, the global market value of graphene was expected to reach USD149 million by 2020 and compound annual growth rate was forecast to hit 44% sometime between 2014 and 2020.
